ABOUT EVENT

Facultatea de Drept  a Universității Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași organizează, la data de 6 mai 2023, cu prilejul Zilelor Europei, conferința cu tema „Dreptul în context european și pan-european”.

Conferința își propune să exploreze tendințele actuale ale dreptului în spațiul european, interdependența normelor elaborate la nivel european cu cele naționale și implicațiile practice ale acesteia.

Lucrările conferinței se vor desfășura într-o sesiune plenară și în sesiuni tematice, prilej pentru participanți de a dezbate, a face schimb de idei și de a realiza conexiuni profesionale.

Conferința este deschisă cercetătorilor și practicienilor din domeniul dreptului.

Key-note speakeri:
- Prof. univ. dr. Tudorel Toader - Rector, Universitatea „Alexandrui Ioan Cuza” din Iași
- Prof. dr. Eugenia Dacoronia - New Technologies and Tort Law
- Professor Dr. Eugenia Dacoronia is member of the Faculty of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and teaches General Principles of Civil Law, Real Property Law, Law of the Environment and Torts in the Legal System of the USA. She is the author of multiple books and she has published various articles and notes on Court decisions in Greek legal periodicals and in the European Review of Private Law. She participated in international congresses as a national representative, in the Trento/Torino Common Core project as well as in the Study Group on a European Civil Code as a member of the Advisory Council on Torts and Lease of movables. She is a member of the European Group on Tort Law and a fellow of the European Law Institute. She attended several courses abroad (Amsterdam, King’s College, London, Tulane University, New Orleans, USA) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Wake Forest University Winston, Salem, USA and at the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law in Vienna, Austria.
- Edgard Joseph Marina - ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution): Dispute boards in the construction industry Edgard Joseph Marina is a lawyer of 45 years career practicing in the fields of arbitration, mediation and, in particular, ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) covering various countries and legal systems. He is a holder of a Licence en Droit Libanais, a Licence and Master en Droit Français, as well as a Master in Admiralty (Tulane University USA). He acted as in house Counsel for international companies. At present, he practices mainly ADR and he is an ICC member of the Institute of World Business Law.
