Call for Papers

Dear Madam / Sir,

we are glad to invite you to submit your papers and participate at the International Biennial Conference „Forensic Science and its Implications in the Development of Human Society” (FOSIDHUS), which will be held online on the 28th of May, 2022.

► This year's theme of the conference is „Forensics: An Important Guide in the Search for the Truth”. The theme is inspired by the fact that the current scientific development, reflected in the Forensic Technique, Tactics and Methodology, allows obtaining information of great accuracy. At the same time, however, steps must be taken to avoid possible errors that could compromise the results of an investigation. Forensics provides the means to find out the truth, but it is the responsibility of people to make rational use of the resources provided by forensics. The participants in the FOSIDHUS conference are invited to reflect on this topic and, thus, together, to discover how we can overcome possible obstacles and get closer to the truth, through specific forensic methods.

►Important information

● The event will take place on the 28th of May, 2022.

● The conference will be held via an online platform. All necessary technical information needed in order to have access to the online platform will be communicated to participants in a timely manner.

● The registration deadline is the 15th of May, 2022.

● Scientific papers of the participants may be focused on a wide range of topics, in the field of Forensic Science.

● Full-length papers, after their analysis according to peer review rules, if accepted, will be published in the Scientific Annals of  „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, Legal Sciences Series. This journal is indexed in the international databases HeinOnline, SCIPIO, CEEOL and DOAJ. The deadline for sending the full-length papers is 15th of June, 2022. Participants with accepted papers will receive additional information in a timely manner.

● Full-length papers must strictly follow the guidelines, available at:  pub.law.uaic.ro/en/ghidul-autorilor  (please copy and paste the text in your browser).

● There is no fee for participating at the conference and, also, there is no fee for publishing the accepted papers.
