International Conference „Legal Perspectives on the Internet”, COPEJI 8.0: Living in a bubble. Cyberspace, Law and beyond

ABOUT EVENT

International conference PROGRAM

Nothing in a bubble is the way it is supposed to be; enclosing one’s self in a perfectly-rounded and flawless shape, separated from the day-to-day surroundings, might lead to unexpected turnovers, even in terms of decisions and human actions. No matter whether living in a bubble is the consequence of a voluntary choice or the product of one's (digital/technological) environment, the risk of misinformation, disinformation, highly-personalized content, and being fed with biases is more present than ever, while the safeguards in place are at least questionable. The Internet was built to unite, not to divide; nonetheless, splinternet is real. We should find resources, both internal and external, to fight back. Are the new technologies helpful or just widening the bubble for the future?

We are calling on all of you, lawyers, scholars of law and computer science, IT professionals, and those from other scientific disciplines, to collaborate and find solutions together in the new edition of the International Conference „Legal Perspectives on the Internet”, COPEJI 8.0.
